my side hustle - started in high school, proposed to admin that instead of paying an outside dj $500 / dance (6x / year) - pay for dj equipment and me + two friends and we'd dj for free (taking turns so we could enjoy the dances ourselves). pays itself back for the school quickly so they went for it. continued through college
