principal @ afore capital, a ~$500m aum pre-seed software generalist vc fund started by the first product manager @ twitter. we lead pre-seed rounds with checks up to $2m. meeting with founders for our pre-seed checks and also running our founders-in-residence program. living in nyc but spending 30-40% of the time in the bay area (afore’s office is in south park). email is jack@afore.vc

tinkered with hardware in middle school (got really into amateur radio) and started a software company with two friends in high school (didn’t go far but learned a lot). studied cs & finance @ boston college and had the privilege of working with other young founders (through rough draft, contrary, start@shea). interned for a dozen companies ranging from pre-seed to public like crowdstrike / eightfold / fictiv as well as over half a dozen vc firms like accel / battery / foundation capital. proud eagle scout '15

origins

was super lucky to grow up at a school where design thinking, social and emotional learning, and passion projects were baked into the core curriculum. huge fan of founders as they often embody these things - spirited leaders building cool solutions to real problems.

grew up in the bay area (san mateo), huge fan of all things formula one, outdoors (camping / skiing / scuba), and music (concerts / dj'ing)
